Léonie Brown BA (Hons)
Writer and Illustrator
Léonie graduated from a joint BA (Hons) Creative and Professional Writing and Illustration course from the University of Worcester in 2019 with a 2:1. She has since married a Yorkshireman and moved North to live in Bridlington on the East Yorkshire coast. Léonie specialises in using a combination of ink and coloured pencils that create a hand-crafted, tactile feel to her illustration work. She has recently created a book for younger readers about stellar mythology around the world, and is keen to encourage her readers to be creative and think for themselves.
Léonie is available for commissions
Enthusiastic, full of ideas and always professional in her approach, Léonie would be delighted to work with you on your project, whether it’s for illustration or writing. Among her many and varied creative projects, she has created album artwork for a company called Stylus Vinyl and a corporate name/brand and logo for a local beekeeper - Miss Honey Penny.
Léonie is currently working on illustrations for the book ‘Tree Wakers’ by Keith Clare, and is illustrating a new online map - Sleepy Phoenix Maps.
